Upon entering KUBE Hotel, visitors will be forgiven for thinking they’ve walked onto the set of an achingly smart 1960s sci-fi film.
A glowing Plexiglas cube serves as the reception area, while at the heart of the hotel is a spacious lounge-restaurant-bar: a futuristic, low-lit space with high ceilings, stainless steel accents, and a state-of-the-art sound system camouflaged in red ceiling lanterns.
The supremely cool “Ice KUBE” bar on the mezzanine features an icy blue-lit igloo, Eero Aarnio’s 1968 Bubble Chairs, and a Grey Goose vodka-only drinks menu.
The 29 sleek guestrooms and 12 suites are arranged around an open courtyard and accessed via colorful elevators.
This gives a hint of the playful features in store, including faux-fur, cubic bathtubs, and beds lit from beneath. Biometric fingerprint technology controls room access, and each room is fitted with a flat-screen TV and Playstation 3. Welcome to the future!
